The film SMILE OF THE MONSTERFISH marked the beginning of Felix Cramer's international career as Director of Photography for motion pictures. His work now encompasses over 55 feature-length productions in various genres, as well as over 100 commercials, TV series, documentaries and short films. He was awarded the Bavarian TV Award 2021 (OKTOBERFEST), the Kodak Vision Award 2003 (KEVIN BARRY) and nominated three times for the German Cinematography Award 2022 (THE REBEL), 2010 (RACE AGAINST TIME) and 2014 (PARADIES 505).
One of his most important features, CEASEFIRE deals with the second Iraq war (2003), showing a “non government organization” perspective of five people. The movie was awarded the Grand Prix Europe 2010 and Prix Italia 2011 among many others.
THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, an adaptation of Martin Suters best-selling Swiss novel was nominated for the Beijing Tiantan Award 2016 for Best Cinematography.
In 2019 Felix shot the first season of OKTOBERFEST – BEER & BLOOD. The historical mini series has been released worldwide in October 2020 on Netflix and on ARD. His series SHARDLAKE (DISNEY+ global), TOWER SHADOWS (SKY) and I AM SCROOGE (RTL+ / MHZ Choice) have been all successfully released in 2024.
Felix most recent work is VIENNA GAME, a 6x50min high-end series about Vienna Congress (1814/15), which will be released world wide by Disney+ end of 2025.
